Participants will at the end of this programme
be able to gather behavioural evidence through the use of
specific interview techniques and code that evidence against
success factors associated with high performance.
Objectives
To understand the characteristics of
competency frameworks / success factor descriptions and
how they are developed
To understand how to use the beheavioural
evidenced based processes (direct observations and interview
techniques)
To understand the various types of interview
and how information can be gathered to support decisions
about individuals
To create appropriate questions for interviews
to gain evidence of competency / success factors
To practice interviewing skills, how
to introduce the competency related questions, how to deal
with difficult interviewees and the use of probes and focusing
devices
To interpret the evidence presented in
interviews and the way in which this can be weighted and
used when making selection decisions
