The
six step problem solving approach follows a logical path starting
with identifying a problem clearly and leading to a plan of
action to solve it. It is desirable to use a real problem or
goal opportunity to fuel the learning process. In this way,
while learning how to use the model and its associated tools,
individuals working in groups will be affecting or solving a
real work issue.
During the workshops participants
will learn:
To identify and apply each of the six
steps in the model to solve problems
To use problem solving tools and
techniques effectively
Six Step Problem Solving Model

Step Two
- Analysing potential causes
Step Three
- Identifying possible solutions
Step Four
